Description of the Project

These pipelines link offshore oilfields in the Caspian Sea from Azerbaijan to Turkey (at the Erzurum site and the port of Ceyhan on the southeast coast on the Mediterranean) via Georgia.

Work done and added value of our solution

With 1,760 km long, the BTC petroleum pipeline is the world’s second-longest of its kind. For each segment, 248 kilometres of pipes were built along with related infrastructure. These projets, carried out in challenging environments (remote locations and severe winter weather conditions), required the employment of as many as 5,000 people at peak activity periods.
